Can you believe that summer is already over? It flew by so quickly. It was amazing to see so many of you throughout the US and Canada over the past few weeks. The guys are in Los Angeles this week for the MTV Video Music Awards (they’re nominated for “Best New Artist” and “Best Pop Video”) and then they’ll be flying to Amsterdam for the first date of their European tour. The European tour wraps on October 23rd in Lisbon which gives the guys about a week to rest up before they embark on a very special fall college tour. What makes it so special?

fun. is teaming up with REVERB and Ben & Jerry’s for the fall 2012 Campus Consciousness Tour. LGBTQ equality has always been an important issue for fun.. This Campus Consciousness Tour is focused on mobilizing college students to actively support LGBTQ equality, both in their lives and in the voting booth. In keeping with that theme, Ben & Jerry’s will be on hand to give out some delicious ice cream and spread the word about their Get the Dough Out of Politics campaign. Get the Dough Out of Politics is all about making politicians accountable to people, not corporations and well funded special interest groups.

The tour kicks off Halloween night in Portland, ME with a benefit for Mainers United For Marriage, a coalition of groups dedicated seeing marriage equality become a reality in Maine on November 6th. If you live in Maine and aren’t registered to vote, please click here to register.
